High Desert Preserve Hunts:

Private Ranch Hunts on 3,200 acres , No state licenses are required!!

All hunt fees include lodging, a guide, meals and your license ~ all you need is your personal gear

All hunts are guided, 1 hunter per guide unless hunters request to hunt together

 

Bronze Medal Hunts:

Guaranteed 100% opportunity to see multiple bucks. Only mature bucks 5 years or older will be harvested. Bucks harvested in the Bronze Medal Hunts will be up to150 inches field judged and at the guides discretion. Hunt consists of 3 days and 4 nights stay at Lodge.
Bronze Medal Hunt Price: $4,737.00  (5% discount will be applied for cash or check).

Silver Medal Hunts:

Guaranteed 100% opportunity to see multiple bucks. Only mature bucks 5 years or older will be harvested. Bucks harvested in the Silver Medal Hunts will be up to169 inches field judged and at the guide’s discretion. Hunt consists of 3 days and 4 nights stay at Lodge.
Silver Medal Hunt Price: $7,895.00  (5% discount will be applied for cash or check).

Gold Medal Hunt:

Guaranteed 100% opportunity to see multiple bucks. Only mature bucks 5 years or older will be harvested. Any mature buck on the ranch can be harvested during the Gold Medal Hunt in 2011. Hunt consists of 4 days and 5 nights stay at Lodge. The gold medal hunt will be limited to 5 hunters during the peak of the rut in 2011. If a buck is not harvested during the Gold Medal Hunt, a 50% refund will be applied.
Gold Medal Hunt Price: $14,737.00  (5% discount will be applied for cash or check).

Additional Mature Bucks can be taken. Guides will price in the field for you

Booking Terms for all Hunts:

50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your hunt dates. (hunts can be transferred to another hunter) Balance due 20 days prior to hunt. Cash, check or major credit cards will be accepted. (5% discount if paid with Cash or Check)

Pricing

Price includes:

Staying as a guest at the ranch. Meals and double occupancy rooms (private rooms available for an additional $100 per night). Guide service, Field dressing, Retrieval, and caping if requested. Phone and internet service.  Travel to and from Albuquerque or Roswell airports.  HDR staff will attempt to coordinate transportation of hunters to and from these airports, minimize wait time, and minimize trips back and forth.  We will meet the hunter at the airport on the day of arrival and drop off the client at the gate on departure days.

Price excludes:

 

Gratuities for guides and staff. Non hunter fee of $150.00 per day. Taxidermy, Meat Processing, Shipping of cape horns, or meat.

 

 

 

High Desert Free Range Hunts:

 

 

High Desert Ranch was closed for hunting for six years to allow the free ranging herd of mule deer to regenerate and expand.  Free Range hunts are now available on 45,000 acres of the ranch.  Hunts are subject to all of the New Mexico Game and Fish regulations found in the proclamation for the year you will be hunting (New Mexico Big Game and Trapper Rules and Information).  A limited number of landowner permits will be available.  Please discuss options for free range hunting with us.  The cost of the hunt includes seven nights at the lodge, meals, five days of hunting with an experienced guide, retrieval, dressing, and caping of your animal, and storage of the carcass until your departure.  Hunts cannot be transferred to another hunter.
